Over the past year, employees of Salit Steel in Niagara have volunteered their time to organize a number of BBQ’s and a golf tournament in efforts to raise funds for Niagara Children’s Centre. As part of their 2016-2017 initiatives, the employees were tasked to choose an organization that promotes healthy living and activities for children living in the Niagara Region. This year, Niagara Children’s Centre was the lucky recipient of their efforts.
Every year, Salit Steel partners with local Colleges and Universities to offer summer employment opportunities to students who are in full time post-secondary education.
As our summer students head back to class this week, we’d like to share some thoughts from one our students, Justin Caporuscio, who is embarking on a new adventure this fall – moving to France to study abroad!
In February 2016, Salit Steel was awarded the contract to provide supply, fabrication and placing of rebar for the Manitoba Keeyask Hydro Dam project.
Keeyask is located in northern Manitoba in the Split Lake Resource Management Area, 725 km northeast of Winnipeg on the lower Nelson River. Keeyask will be the fourth largest generating station in Manitoba.
HOTEL X – TORONTO
Salit Steel supplied and installed rebar for the beautiful Hotel X located in Toronto. Our trucks rolled onto site October 10, 2013.
