Dec 22, 2017, 7:00:00 AM , Dale Burkell During the Month of December Salit Steel locations across Canada took on the challenge of “Food Fabrication”. Working in teams, the challenge was to build something out of food items that then would be donated to a local Food Bank. There were a few parameters for this challenge and to keep thing interesting, and bonus points were offered if a team chose to recreate a Salit Steel project. As you can see from the pictures, it turns out that we have a competitive bunch around here, and many creative team members who took on this challenge whole heartedly! Although each location did name a winning team, it is safe to say that the real winners were the Salit Community as each team outdid themselves and as a result we donated a record amount of food and much needed items to our local food banks across Canada! A HUGE congratulation goes out to all of our locations across Canada that took on this challenge and supported families less fortunate within their community.
