Bowling for a great cause

Team Salit got together some of our finest bowlers to take part in Big Brothers Big Sister’s “Bowl for Kids Sake.” The theme of the event was Super Heroes, and we had a few team members who were brave enough to dress up. Regardless of the outfit, we think anyone who came out to bowl in this event is a true super hero! Keeyask Hydro Dam Project

In February 2016, Salit Steel was awarded the contract to provide supply, fabrication and placing of rebar for the Manitoba Keeyask Hydro Dam project. Keeyask is located in northern Manitoba in the Split Lake Resource Management Area, 725 km northeast of Winnipeg on the lower Nelson River. StelCrete Industries supports vital wind energy project

StelCrete Industries worked closely with Niagara Region Wind Corporation (NRWC) to create precast concrete wind turbine tower segments for installation in the Niagara Peninsula Region of Ontario. In June 2015, team members travelled to Enercon GMBH facilities in Emden, Germany and Zurndorf, Austria to learn the Enercon process of manufacturing. Avenue Building Corporation faced major challenges in assembling 15 Conical shaped columns at ground floor, an issue that would have taken time away that they didn’t have to spare.
