Employees from the Niagara Falls location once again spread some holiday cheer in the local community by participating in the Good News Breakfast Food Drive for Project SHARE.
Project SHARE is a non-profit charitable organization and provides emergency food and support services to residents of Niagara Falls who are living on or below the poverty line.
Avenue Building Corporation faced major challenges in assembling 15 Conical shaped columns at ground floor, an issue that would have taken time away that they didn’t have to spare.
Salit Steel pre-assemblies, together with SRI, stepped up and assembled these columns in-house to help maintain the construction schedule.
Team Salit got together some of our finest bowlers to take part in Big Brothers Big Sister’s “Bowl for Kids Sake.” The theme of the event was Super Heroes, and we had a few team members who were brave enough to dress up. Regardless of the outfit, we think anyone who came out to bowl in this event is a true super hero!
Salit had three teams take part, and together they raised a total of $1670 which goes directly towards mentoring programs in our community.
StelCrete Industries worked closely with Niagara Region Wind Corporation (NRWC) to create precast concrete wind turbine tower segments for installation in the Niagara Peninsula Region of Ontario.
In June 2015, team members travelled to Enercon GMBH facilities in Emden, Germany and Zurndorf, Austria to learn the Enercon process of manufacturing. Each tower stands an impressive 126 metres with each wind turbine reaching a maximum height of 176.5 meters or 586 feet. The total registered electrical generation capacity of the NRWC project is 230 megawatts.
